It's a great chance to spend a day in the country, visit some fabulous studios, and talk with a number of talented and interesting artists.
Our Studios Are In Great Buildings!
Our barns are filled with more than animals, tractors, and unwanted stuff. Many energetic souls have great stories to tell about shoveling out manure, rotted wood, and
unidentifiable piles of farm machinery to create spacious studios warmed by good light and time-worn wood.
Why Artist Open Studios?
A handful of artists got together and talked about opening their studios to the public. The numbers quickly grew, resulting in the wildly successful first Artist Open Studios. There's
truly a hidden community of artists out there looking forward to showing their art and their studios to the public and kibitzing with anyone who makes the trek.
Who's Opening Their Studios?
For 2012, twelve talented artists working in diverse media will be selected. There will be demonstrations of glass blowing, stone carving, painting, pottery and other art-making techniques.
